The Untold Story

In the 1870s, one Nevada town was too peaceful for its own good - so it started faking gunfights.

Palisade was a quiet railroad stop with almost no crime. But passengers riding the transcontinental railroad kept complaining it wasn’t wild enough.

So the whole town staged fake shootouts, bank robberies, and bar fights every time a train pulled in - using blanks and cow’s blood for effect.

Even the U.S. Cavalry and a local tribe joined the act.
