The Untold Story

In 1914, in the middle of World War One, soldiers on both sides stopped shooting and shook hands instead.

It started with Christmas carols sung across the trenches. Then, without any orders, soldiers began climbing out into no-man’s land.

Some accounts describe British and German soldiers playing football together in the middle of the battlefield.

By the next day, officers on both sides shut it down and ordered the fighting to resume. For one night, enemies chose to shake hands instead of firing a shot. Stick around for more history worth remembering.
